Welp, I dropped my awesome update streak. I was so proud of it, too. Well, it's going to happen again. Ironically, it wasn't because I ran out of time in terms of producing comics. In my intent to remain transparent, I would like to point out that several strips are gone. They were all storyline-related. But, WHY?! I can answer that: I was unhappy with some of them (and this is a work in progress after all), but most importantly, I wanted to repackage all of them and reproduce/re-release storylines in a different way. I don't have the patience, and I don't think you have the patience, for long drawn-out narratives punctuated by strips that arrive once every few days. So, that's in the future. But, that's why I missed those updates. I was in a dilemma over what I really wanted to do. I decided, and I'm back. - Steve Monday, May 9, 2011 Trust me, starting a cover letter that way doesn't work. - Steve Friday, May 6, 2011 I initially wasn't going to address current events when the news broke, but I finally went ahead and did. I am continuously amused by people's inability to avoid complete subscription to extremes. I've heard almost no one say, "Yes, I find the jubilation over bin Laden's death to be sort of creepy, BUT I still think the mission was important and perhaps necessary." I'm only seeing simultaneous support of the mission and jubilation over the death, or scorn over that jubilation and a simultaneous condemnation of the mission. Why? I definitely think the celebration is too much. Relief is understandable. But I don't know why people are overjoyed. - Steve |
